摘要
This work suggests a compact switched-beam cube antenna system at 5.8GHz (C-band) for the Internet of Things (IoT) devices, such as automated robots. The antenna consists of four right hand circularly polarized (RHCP) arrays that are activated, one at a time, by a reconfigurable feeding network centered between them. The antenna configuration forms a 3D cube that can be easily mounted on each robot device. An 8.4 dBic directional beam switches between four consecutive 90° degree sectors, in order to detect possible communication links or to avoid interferences. The antenna has its feeding network surrounded by the four arrays in order to minimize the required area and to result in a compact 45×45×45mm 3 cube antenna system.
