摘要
We present a low cost robotic rehabilitation system for wrist-elbow-forearm. Being used as a household tool is a vision for developing the system. This must bring a great joy to PwSN (People with Special Needs) who experience difficulty to visit a rehabilitation center in the city. First, a prototype of one motor for three joints was developed for the forearm and wrist rehabilitation, and tested with 10 healthy subjects. Based on the trial result, the system was modified for restoring the function of the elbow-forearm-wrist instead. Then, a pre-clinical test was carried out. The result showed that the robotic system is usable for the passive rehabilitation; not at home yet, only at the center.
