摘要
With the efflux of the ageing population, the need for taking care of the elderly has been rampant more than ever. Consequently, the upsurge of assistive robots continues to rise. Robots are touching human lives, especially for the ageing population. The motivation behind the research and development of these robots is due to this societal need. This paper entails extensive literature on assistive robots for the aged. The article probes such machines and broadly classifies them according to their nature. Outlining concerns of these robots, pragmatic discussions are then drawn. A similar, feasible prototype model is also proposed. Such summaries and implications of such assistive robots are further discussed.
