Humanoid robot in healthcare: A Systematic Review and Future Research Directions

Historically, progress in automation systems has been motivated by the need for collaborative robots in the manufacturing sector. There is a need for technological adoption in the healthcare sector. Robots are the best options to help and assist doctors in healthcare activities. The healthcare sector’s lack of focus on technological innovations has created new opportunities to enhance service robots that can assist patients in dealing with their illnesses and providing better solutions. Humanoid robots can benefit healthcare by increasing the patient’s satisfaction level. They can also perform precise surgery in tiny rooms and transport hazardous substances. This study conducted a systematic literature review by extracting articles from three databases. This paper highlights the critical role of humanoid Robots in the healthcare sector. This article also discusses the future trends of humanoid robots for the health sector.
