Zhongbin Li is a leading figure in satellite-based atmospheric remote sensing, with a primary focus on urban aerosol monitoring and air quality assessment. His work addresses the critical challenge of characterizing aerosol optical depth (AOD) at medium spatial resolution, enabling more precise pollution tracking across heterogeneous city landscapes.
