Zhiyu Feng is a pioneering cardiothoracic surgeon whose work has fundamentally advanced minimally invasive cardiac surgery, particularly for congenital heart defects. His primary research focus is the development and refinement of totally thoracoscopic techniques for atrial septal defect (ASD) closure, eliminating the need for both sternotomy and robotic assistance.
