Zeng-Wei Hong is a pioneering researcher in educational robotics and technology-enhanced language learning, whose work has profoundly shaped how humanoid robots are integrated into classroom instruction. With a career spanning over a decade, Hong has consistently explored the intersection of robotics, pedagogy, and student motivation, producing influential findings that have guided educators and technologists alike. His most celebrated contribution, a 2014 study on robot-based learning systems in elementary education (172 citations), provided much-needed empirical evidence confirming that educational robots meaningfully boost student motivation — addressing a critical gap in the literature at the time.
