Yuma Kadoya is an anesthesiologist and clinical researcher whose work focuses on optimizing perioperative pain management and regional anesthesia, particularly in urological surgeries. His major contributions center on two key areas: nociception level (NOL)-directed analgesia and the functional impact of truncal nerve blocks. Kadoya led the NOLDOR trial, a single-blinded randomized controlled study demonstrating that NOL-guided opioid administration significantly reduces intraoperative opioid usage during robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, with 12 citations to date.
