About
Yuanqing Yao is a leading figure in gynecologic oncology, whose research has fundamentally advanced the surgical treatment of cervical, endometrial, and ovarian cancers. Yao’s work is centered on evaluating the safety, efficacy, and long-term outcomes of minimally invasive approaches, with a particular focus on robotic surgery using the da Vinci system. A major contribution is the landmark systematic review and meta-analysis on robotic surgery for cervical cancer (22 citations), which demonstrated its superiority over traditional open and laparoscopic methods. This was complemented by a comprehensive network meta-analysis (13 citations) comparing five different radical hysterectomy techniques, providing crucial evidence for surgical decision-making.
