Vahudin Zugor is a urological surgeon and researcher whose work has significantly advanced the understanding and application of robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) in the treatment of prostate cancer. His research has focused on evaluating surgical, oncological, and functional outcomes across diverse and challenging patient populations, including elderly men aged 75 and older, younger patients under 50, those with prior transurethral resection of the prostate, and individuals presenting with elevated PSA levels or enlarged prostate specimens. His most cited work, examining RARP outcomes in older patients (47 citations), helped establish the feasibility and safety of minimally invasive robotic surgery in populations traditionally considered high-risk. Zugor has also made important contributions to salvage prostatectomy for radiation-resistant prostate cancer (26 citations) and, more recently, to robotic ureteral reimplantation in a multicentre comparative study.
