About
Dr. Tsun Yee Law is a leading orthopaedic surgeon-researcher whose work centers on advancing robotic-assisted knee arthroplasty, with a particular focus on unicompartmental (UKA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA). His major contributions include demonstrating the clinical efficacy and long-term survivorship of robotic-arm-assisted UKA, with one study reporting an excellent 10-year survivorship rate. Dr. Law has also pioneered research on the accuracy of intraoperative alignment in robotic UKA, showing how robotic assistance improves component positioning and limb alignment—critical factors for reducing revision rates. His multicenter study on robotic-assisted primary TKA, with 861 patients and over 42 citations, provides robust evidence of improved patient-reported outcomes and clinical results at minimum two-year follow-up. Additionally, his work on correcting coronal deformity through bone resection in TKA has informed surgical techniques for achieving functional knee balance. With a growing citation impact and a focus on long-term outcomes, Dr. Law is shaping the future of precision joint replacement surgery.
