About
Dr. Seung Lee is a pioneering hepatobiliary surgeon whose work centers on advancing minimally invasive robotic techniques for complex biliary and hepatic pathologies. His major contributions lie in demonstrating the feasibility and safety of robotic surgery for rare, technically demanding conditions. In a landmark 2024 case report (2 citations), Dr. Lee detailed the first robotic management of a primary cholecystoduodenal fistula—a challenging complication of chronic biliary disease traditionally requiring open or laparoscopic repair. By showcasing a successful robotic approach, he provided a novel template for managing dense adhesions and aberrant anatomy in the gallbladder fossa.
