Sayeed Ikramuddin is a pioneering figure in bariatric and metabolic surgery, whose work has significantly advanced the understanding and treatment of severe obesity. His research focuses on the safety, efficacy, and technical refinement of complex bariatric procedures, particularly the duodenal switch (DS) and laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy with islet autotransplantation.
