About

Sabine Elowe is a leading cell biologist whose research has fundamentally advanced our understanding of receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) signaling, particularly within the Eph receptor family. Her work has been instrumental in deciphering how these critical signaling molecules control cell behavior, with profound implications for neurobiology and cancer biology. In her highly cited 2003 study (70 citations), Elowe made a seminal contribution by demonstrating that the manipulation of specific regulatory motifs and SH2 binding sites on the EphB2 receptor can switch its downstream signaling output, notably affecting MAPK pathway activation and cellular responses.
