About
Ruriko Honda‐Takinami is a leading urological surgeon and researcher whose work focuses on improving functional outcomes and quality of life for prostate cancer patients undergoing robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP). Her research centers on three key areas: postoperative urinary continence, detrusor function, and patient-reported satisfaction. In her landmark 2021 prospective study (11 citations), she identified the prevalence and predictors of postoperative detrusor underactivity, a critical but often overlooked complication.
