About
Dr. Rima Nabbout is a leading pediatric neurologist whose research has fundamentally advanced the understanding and treatment of childhood epilepsies, particularly rare and severe syndromes. Her work bridges cutting-edge surgical techniques and precision medicine, with a primary focus on Dravet syndrome, tuberous sclerosis complex, and the genetic underpinnings of epileptic encephalopathies. Dr. Nabbout has been instrumental in characterizing the natural history of Dravet syndrome and demonstrating the efficacy of targeted therapies like stiripentol and fenfluramine, with her landmark clinical trials cited over 1,000 times.
