Qiaoqiao Wang is a leading atmospheric chemist whose research illuminates the global transport and climate impacts of aerosols. Her work centers on three critical areas: black carbon’s role in radiative forcing, Arctic aerosol dynamics, and intercontinental dust transport. Wang’s landmark 2013 study, with 324 citations, used pole-to-pole aircraft observations from the HIPPO campaign to constrain the global budget of black carbon—a potent short-lived climate pollutant.
