About
Oliver Strobel is a leading figure in hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery, with a research focus on advancing minimally invasive techniques and integrating artificial intelligence into surgical practice. His most impactful work centers on pancreaticoduodenectomy, where his landmark 2019 study comparing laparoscopic versus open approaches (271 citations) provided critical evidence from randomized controlled trials, challenging the prevailing reliance on observational data.
