About
Nikolaos Tsilimparis is a pioneering vascular surgeon whose research has fundamentally advanced the treatment of complex aortic pathologies and the application of robotic technology in surgery. His key contributions span two distinct but equally impactful areas: minimally invasive management of mediastinal disease and endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms. In a landmark 2010 study, Tsilimparis demonstrated the feasibility of using the da Vinci® robotic system for resecting ectopic mediastinal parathyroid glands, a procedure traditionally requiring open surgery.
