Narayana Subramaniam is a pioneering head and neck surgeon whose work is reshaping the surgical management of complex oropharyngeal tumors. His primary research focuses on minimally invasive surgical techniques, particularly remote access thyroid surgery and robot-assisted procedures for the upper aerodigestive tract. Subramaniam’s major contribution lies in demonstrating that robotic surgery can effectively avoid morbid open approaches, such as mandibulotomy, in select cases of salivary gland malignancies.
