Michael A. DiNenna is a rising biomechanics researcher whose work is reshaping our understanding of knee ligament and meniscus surgery. His research centers on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, meniscal pathology, and multiligament knee injuries, with a particular focus on restoring native knee kinematics. DiNenna’s most impactful study, with 17 citations, demonstrated that arthroscopic meniscal centralization can significantly reduce extrusion of the medial meniscus following a posterior root tear in the ACL-reconstructed knee—a critical finding for preserving joint health.
