Marieke Gielissen is a leading researcher at the intersection of assistive technology, disability care, and human-robot interaction, with a focus on enhancing independence for people with neurodevelopmental disorders and intellectual disabilities. Her work centers on how social robots and other care technologies can support daily living tasks and executive function—the cognitive processes essential for planning, organizing, and completing activities.
