About
Marco Vola is a pioneering cardiac surgeon whose research focuses on advancing minimally invasive and robotic-assisted aortic valve surgery. His major contributions center on developing and validating techniques for totally endoscopic aortic valve replacement, particularly through the innovative use of sutureless valves. Vola’s landmark 2020 study, with 17 citations, demonstrated the feasibility and early clinical outcomes of robotic-assisted aortic valve replacement using sutureless prostheses, establishing a less invasive alternative to traditional sternotomy.
