About
Katrin-Misel Ponomarjova is a pioneering researcher at the intersection of robotics, computer vision, and inclusive technology. Her primary research areas include human–robot collaboration (HRC), thermal imaging for industrial safety, and assistive robotics for people with disabilities. Ponomarjova’s most notable contribution is the introduction of convolutional neural networks to detect humans and collaborative robots (cobots) in shared workspaces using their unique thermal radiation fingerprints.
