Jonathan Villena‐Vargas is a thoracic surgeon and researcher whose work centers on advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques for thymic tumors, particularly through robotic-assisted approaches. His major contributions lie in demonstrating the safety, efficacy, and oncological equivalence of robotic thymectomy compared to traditional open and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS).
