About
Dr. Jiuliang Wang is a pioneering urologic surgeon whose research focuses on advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques for prostate and kidney cancers. His most impactful work centers on refining robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) to address one of its most common and distressing side effects: urinary incontinence. In his highly cited 2023 study, Dr. Wang introduced the modified Hood technique for single-port RARP (sp-RARP), demonstrating that this innovative approach significantly accelerates the early recovery of continence in patients. This contribution has garnered 5 citations and represents a meaningful step toward improving postoperative quality of life. More recently, Dr. Wang has extended his expertise to nephron-sparing surgery (NSS) for large renal angiomyolipomas (>4 cm). His 2025 comparative study shows that an off-clamp approach reduces operative time and may lower the risk of vascular complications, challenging conventional clamping methods. With a growing citation footprint, Dr. Wang’s work is shaping safer, more effective surgical protocols in urologic oncology, offering patients faster recovery and fewer complications.
