About

Jinhao Liang is a pioneering researcher at the intersection of robotics, neuromorphic computing, and human–machine interaction. His work bridges two transformative domains: enabling intuitive physical collaboration between humans and autonomous systems, and developing brain-inspired hardware for intelligent robotic control. In his highly cited 2016 paper, Liang introduced a novel system for action synchronization between a human arm and a multi-rotor UAV’s robotic arm, using dual IMU motion sensors to achieve seamless remote operation—a foundational contribution to teleoperation and aerial manipulation. More recently, his 2025 study on reward-modulated spike-timing-dependent plasticity in van der Waals ferroelectric memtransistors marks a breakthrough in neuromorphic engineering.
