Jingyu Zhu is a surgical oncologist whose research focuses on advancing minimally invasive treatments for urologic and gastrointestinal cancers. His work bridges the gap between complex surgical techniques and emerging therapeutic modalities, with a particular emphasis on improving outcomes for patients with challenging tumor presentations. In a landmark 2019 study, Zhu conducted a rigorous propensity score-matched analysis comparing robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RPN) against laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) for anatomically complex T1b renal tumors with RENAL nephrometry scores ≥7.
