About

Jingguang Han is a leading researcher in human-robot interaction, with a focus on multimodal communication and non-verbal cue processing. His pioneering work, particularly with the Nao humanoid robot, has significantly advanced how robots interpret and respond to human gestures, gaze, and speech in real-time. Two of his most cited papers (each with 57 citations) explore the integration of sensor-driven platforms and conversational systems. In one, he developed a novel method for investigating non-verbal cues using the Nao platform, conducting pilot experiments with 12 users to demonstrate the robot’s ability to recognize and react to multimodal inputs.
