Jieshou Li is a pioneering surgeon and researcher in the field of robotic gastrointestinal oncology, with a primary focus on advancing minimally invasive techniques for gastric and rectal cancers. His major contributions include demonstrating the safety and efficacy of full robotic gastrectomy with intracorporeal robot-sewn anastomosis through a landmark randomized clinical trial (69 citations), and establishing the critical importance of pelvic autonomic nerve preservation during robotic rectal cancer surgery to protect male urinary and sexual function (105 citations).
