About
Jiawen Wu is a pioneering urological surgeon whose research focuses on improving functional outcomes after radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer. His most impactful work centers on the anatomical role of Denonvilliers’ fascia in post-surgical urinary continence. In his landmark 2021 study, Wu proposed a novel conceptual model describing Denonvilliers’ fascia as both a “fulcrum and hammock” for continence mechanisms, fundamentally challenging prior assumptions about post-prostatectomy incontinence.
