Jakob Fredslund is a robotics researcher whose work has made significant contributions to two compelling areas: multi-robot coordination and human-robot interaction. He is best known for developing elegant solutions to the robot formation problem — enabling groups of mobile robots to establish and maintain predetermined geometric shapes using only local sensing and minimal communication, without relying on centralized control.
