About

Istabraq S. Dalieh is a rising leader in surgical education and robotic surgery, whose work bridges the gap between artificial intelligence and hands-on clinical training. Her research centers on three key areas: AI-driven skills assessment, virtual reality (VR) simulation for surgical training, and the classification of live intraoperative feedback. In her landmark pilot study, Dalieh demonstrated that AI-based video feedback significantly improves novice performance on robotic suturing tasks, offering a scalable, objective alternative to traditional mentorship.
