Il Soo Park is a pioneering gynecologic oncologist whose work has redefined surgical approaches to cervical cancer, particularly through the integration of robotic technology. His primary research areas include nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy, fertility-preserving surgery, and the preservation of pelvic autonomic nerves during oncologic procedures. Park’s landmark 2013 study comparing robot-assisted versus laparoscopic nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy (56 citations) established robotic surgery as a safe, effective alternative with superior precision.
