Iahn Cajigas is a researcher whose work sits at the intersection of rehabilitation robotics, motor control, and neural engineering. His primary contributions focus on understanding and restoring human gait, particularly for individuals with neurological injuries like stroke and spinal cord injury. He is best known for developing the Robotic Gait Rehabilitation (RGR) Trainer, a novel single-actuator mechatronic system that applies corrective force fields to the pelvis to address secondary gait deviations, such as hip-hiking, in stroke survivors.
