About

Huixin Lv is a rising innovator in the field of robotic-assisted dental implantology, with a focused research interest in autonomous surgical systems for complex oral rehabilitation. Dr. Lv’s major contributions lie in demonstrating the feasibility and precision of autonomous robotic systems in challenging clinical scenarios, particularly where conventional implant placement is contraindicated. In a landmark 2024 case report, Dr. Lv documented the first successful autonomous robotic system-assisted palatal implantation at an anterior teeth site compromised by a periapical cyst, showcasing the technology’s ability to preserve gingival architecture while navigating pathological bone defects. Expanding this frontier, a 2025 study introduced a novel trans-inferior alveolar nerve implantation technique for a patient with pemphigoid, a chronic autoimmune disease causing severe mucosal fragility. This work directly addresses the critical challenge of vertical mandibular bone resorption and proximity to the inferior alveolar nerve. With over 6 cumulative citations for these pioneering case reports, Dr. Lv’s work is establishing foundational evidence for expanding the indications of robotic surgery into medically complex and anatomically compromised patients, promising safer, more predictable outcomes in extreme implant scenarios.
