About
Huidong Yeo is an atmospheric scientist whose research focuses on the modeling and observation of mineral dust storms and aerosol optical properties. His primary contributions lie in improving the accuracy of air quality forecasting and remote sensing retrievals. In his highly cited 2021 study, Yeo used the WRF-Chem model to simulate Asian dust storms during the DRAGON-Asia field campaign, demonstrating the critical role of dust in influencing regional air quality, weather, and climate. This work, with 28 citations, provides a framework for forecasting severe dust events to protect public health and minimize societal disruption.
