About

Hiroshi Matsuzaki is a pioneering urologic surgeon whose research focuses on optimizing surgical outcomes in robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP). His major contributions center on two critical aspects of this procedure: preventing postoperative complications and preserving nerve function. In his 2022 study on surgical positioning, Matsuzaki demonstrated that the opened legs position significantly reduces the risk of postoperative rhabdomyolysis, a serious complication that can impair kidney function. Using propensity score-matched analysis, he provided evidence-based guidance for safer patient positioning during RARP.
