Helena Van Deventer is a pioneering South African cardiologist and electrophysiologist whose work has advanced the frontiers of cardiac arrhythmia treatment, particularly in resource-limited settings. Her primary research focuses on the application of robotic navigation systems for catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation (AF), a common and debilitating heart rhythm disorder.
