Ehud Shapiro is a pioneering figure in the intersection of computer science and molecular biology, best known for his foundational work in DNA computing and molecular programming. His research has fundamentally reshaped how we conceive of computation at the nanoscale, demonstrating that biological molecules can be engineered to perform logical operations.
