Duygu Sezen is a radiation oncologist whose research centers on advanced stereotactic radiotherapy techniques, particularly for rare and challenging cancers. Her work focuses on the application of robotic stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) to improve outcomes in difficult-to-treat tumor sites. A key contribution is her pioneering report on robotic SBRT for sinonasal mucosal melanoma (SNMM), a rare and aggressive cancer, demonstrating that this non-invasive approach can achieve effective local control where conventional treatments fall short.
