About
Changhong Lin is a leading materials scientist whose research focuses on the development of advanced polymer nanocomposites with self-healing and stimuli-responsive properties. Dr. Lin’s most significant contribution is the creation of a novel polyurethane/graphene nanocomposite that can autonomously repair electrical conductivity upon exposure to near-infrared (NIR) light, a breakthrough achieved through the integration of Diels–Alder dynamic covalent chemistry. This work, published in 2018 and garnering over 117 citations, has opened new pathways for durable, smart electronic materials and soft robotics. By marrying reversible chemical bonds with conductive nanofillers, Lin has demonstrated a powerful strategy for extending the lifespan of flexible electronics and coatings. Their research is highly regarded for its practical implications in self-healing circuits, wearable sensors, and energy storage devices. With a growing citation impact, Changhong Lin continues to push the boundaries of responsive materials, inspiring future innovations in sustainable and intelligent polymer systems.
