About
Dr. Breanna Knight is a pioneering veterinary microbiologist whose work bridges cutting-edge robotics and antimicrobial resistance surveillance. Her research focuses on the epidemiology of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria in companion animals, particularly *Escherichia coli* strains of public health significance. Dr. Knight’s most cited study, “Novel robotic tools used for the detection of faecal shedding of *Escherichia coli* resistant to critically important antimicrobials in healthy dogs” (2025), introduces an innovative automated platform that dramatically increases the throughput of bacterial screening from canine faecal samples.
