Bernhard Meyer is a pioneering neurosurgeon whose work has fundamentally shaped the integration of robotics and navigation into spinal surgery. His research centers on the clinical validation and advancement of robotic-assisted pedicle screw placement, intraoperative imaging, and neurosurgical navigation systems. Meyer’s landmark 2010 study on the SpineAssist surgical robot, cited over 400 times, provided critical early evidence of the clinical acceptance and accuracy of robot-guided spinal implants.
