Benedikt Hofauer is a leading figure in the field of minimally invasive cardiac surgery, with a particular focus on robotic totally endoscopic coronary bypass (TECAB) procedures. His major contributions center on advancing hybrid coronary revascularization—a combined surgical and interventional approach—and on understanding the perioperative risks associated with robotic cardiac surgery.
