About
Dr. Amit Syal is a urologic surgeon and researcher whose work centers on advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques for complex renal and transplant-related conditions. His primary research areas include robot-assisted surgery for kidney cancer, particularly in cases involving inferior vena cava tumor thrombus, as well as innovative approaches to renal allograft management. Dr. Syal’s most impactful contribution is his landmark study comparing open and robot-assisted radical nephrectomy for level I and II inferior vena cava tumor thrombus, published from the Mayo Clinic experience.
