Dr. A. Ascione is a pioneering urologic surgeon whose work has fundamentally reshaped robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP). His primary research focuses on developing novel, anatomically precise surgical techniques that maximize oncologic control while preserving patient quality of life. Ascione’s landmark 2010 study introduced a completely intrafascial approach for RALP, a groundbreaking method that meticulously spares the neurovascular bundles and surrounding fascia.
