Marlon Pastrana is a surgical researcher whose work centers on minimally invasive and robotic approaches to bariatric surgery, with a particular focus on leveraging large-scale clinical registry data to evaluate patient outcomes. Drawing on the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) database, Pastrana has produced some of the earliest and most comprehensive analyses of robotic bariatric surgery at a population level.
