About
Luca Incrocci is a leading figure in radiation oncology, with a specialized focus on stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for prostate cancer. His research has been instrumental in demonstrating the feasibility and tolerance of hypofractionated, high-precision treatments, particularly using the CyberKnife robotic radiosurgery system. His most cited work, "CyberKnife Stereotactic Radiotherapy as Monotherapy for Low- to Intermediate-Stage Prostate Cancer" (2010, 51 citations), provided early, compelling evidence that a non-invasive, five-fraction regimen could achieve excellent dose conformation while minimizing toxicity to surrounding healthy tissue.
