George Nassif is a pioneering colorectal surgeon whose work has fundamentally shaped the evolution of robotic-assisted minimally invasive techniques for rectal cancer and complex anorectal conditions. He is best known for his groundbreaking contributions to robotic transanal surgery, particularly the development and description of Robotic-Assisted Transanal Surgery for Total Mesorectal Excision (RATS-TME), a novel surgical approach he introduced in 2013 that has since garnered nearly 100 citations and influenced surgical practice internationally.
